Gapla’s Provisional Government convenes in historic first meeting
Today, five of the eight members of Gapla’s first provisional government convened in a live meeting headed by Speaker of the National Assembly and Prince of the Danubias Wyatt Baek.
The meeting was a monumental moment in Gapla’s history, as it represents the start of Gapla’s first post-reformation government. The Provisional Government, officially known as the Council of Ministers, is Gapla’s body responsible for settlement, planning what Gapla will look like, creating Gapla’s legal and political infrastructure, and many more exciting tasks that prepare the country for settlement and beyond.
Several citizenship applications were also reviewed, reducing the backlog of citizenship applications that had been delayed due to the lack of meetings of the government. Debates on several key national issues, planning for the expedition to the territories in December, as well as the assignment of the roles of ministers has taken place.
By all means, it is clear that this first meeting of the Provisional Government is a milestone step in Gaplan history as it prepares for settlement and the creation of a fledging democracy.
