Following the resignation of President Chen, Amalia “Rosie” Battle Cordova has been appointed as the 4th President of the Federated States of Gapla. This marked a historic milestone as she became the first President of Gapla unaffiliated with any political party. In one of her first executive decisions, President Battle Cordova appointed Hendrik Täks as the 11th Deputy President of Gapla.
President Battle Cordova’s rapid rise in Gaplan politics remains unparalleled in Gapla’s modern history. She entered politics by joining the Provisional Government in December 2024, just months after receiving her Gaplan citizenship. Within the Provisional Government, her leadership potential was quickly recognized, and she was inaugurated as Deputy President of Gapla along with President Chen in March 2025. This unexpected transition reflects a potential turning point in Gapla’s political history.
Congratulations to President Battle Cordova and Deputy President Täks on their new positions!
