President Cordova successfully interviewed by university researcher

MAINZ, GERMANY — On 13 September 2025, President Amalia Battle Cordova was interviewed by Sofia Tissen, a researcher and undergraduate geography student at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. The interview, conducted through Zoom, formed part of Ms. Tissen’s research paper on micronations, borders, and territories—both visible and invisible—and their meanings, a theme explored in one of her courses, with a particular focus on female perspectives in micronationalism.

This interview represents a significant milestone for Gapla, strengthening its public relations and demonstrating the growing recognition of the country. It reflects our commitment to sharing Gapla’s mission and vision with a wider audience. Congratulations to President Cordova on the successful interview!
