Former President Amalia Battle Cordova announced on 19 March 2026 that Gapla’s next president will be Hendrik Täks. Täks is a former Deputy President, former Ambassador to Estonia, and Member of the Provisional Government who has made substantial contributions to Gapla’s public relations. The former president has resigned from the presidency as she wishes to focus on her role as Minister of Public Relations. President Täks announced that the former president will be serving as his Deputy President.
